The 2008 Senior Illustration Show

That's right, kids. It's that time of year again, when the Illustration seniors at The Art Institute of Boston come together and display their work, after four years of grueling labor and painstaking efforts! Featuring twenty up-and-coming illustrators, as well as occurring on a Leap Year, the 2008 Illustration Show should prove to be quite an amazing evening.

The students on display (in case you have trouble squinting to see the names) are:

Amanda Atkins
James Buck
Nicole Burnor
Shauna Carrier
Kate Castelli
Jeff Chenette
Adam Ellis
Lacey Gabbard
Chad Hanna
Kevin Hebb
Emily Hochrein
Sarah Katz
Misiu Kowalski
Serge Louissant
Derik Parenteau
Doug Poole
Ben Rockwell
Krista Swiader
Julian Tejera
Diana Toma

So come, enjoy some wine and cheese, look at some awesome artwork, and mingle with faculty, students, and assorted family members!

The Illustration Master Class

Hey everyone!

Recently, Julian discovered something super awesome that many sci-fi/fantasy illustrators will take interest in. From June 16th to the 22nd, there will be an Illustration Master Class taught at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. Enrollment spots are filling up quickly, so you'd better sign up soon if you want to join in!

The website is here for more information:

http://www.illustrationmasterclass.com/

Among the faculty will be Donato Giancola (see Sketch Report Issue #3 for the interview), Dan Dos Santos, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Scott Fischer, Rebecca Guay, and special guest Irene Gallo.

This is a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming illustrators to be taught by some of the biggest names in the illustration field. I recommend everyone take the opportunity to read up on this class. Don't wait too long, though, seats are going fast!

Have a great day, all!
